✅ 1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting the website, using the booking engine, or staying at The Corbett Selva Resort — a distinguished Jim Corbett resort — you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all guests, visitors, and users of our Corbett resort services, whether booked directly or through the DevStayZ platform.

📅 2. Booking & Reservations

All reservations at The Corbett Selva Resort are subject to availability and the following conditions:

• Bookings can be made online via our DevStayZ powered booking engine.
• A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required advance payment and a confirmation email.
• You must provide accurate personal details, including valid government-issued ID, as required under Indian hotel regulations.
• Rates displayed are per room per night and are subject to applicable taxes (GST).
• Room allocation is at the discretion of The Corbett Selva Resort management.
• Special requests (extra beds, dietary requirements, etc.) are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• Jim Corbett resort packages, including jungle safari add-ons, are governed by separate safari booking terms of Corbett Tiger Reserve authorities.

💳 3. Payment Policy

All payments for stays at our Corbett resort must be made as follows:

• A minimum advance deposit (as specified at booking) is required to confirm your reservation.
• The remaining balance is due at check-in at The Corbett Selva Resort.
• We accept UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards, and other digital payment methods via our secure gateway.
• All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.
• Cash payments are accepted at the resort in Indian Rupees only.
• Receipts and GST invoices will be provided for all completed transactions.

🔄 4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand plans can change. Our Corbett resort cancellation policy is as follows:

• Cancellations must be submitted in writing via the DevStayZ booking portal or by email.
• Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method.
• Bookings made during Jim Corbett peak season, long weekends, or festive periods may be subject to a stricter no-refund policy — this will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
• Date changes/modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

🏨 5. Check-in & Check-out Policy

• Check-in time: 2:00 PM onwards. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.
• Check-out time: 11:00 AM. Late check-out until 6:00 PM is available on request, subject to availability and extra charges.
• A valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID) is mandatory for all guests at check-in, as per Indian hotel regulations.
• All guests, including children, must be registered at the time of check-in at The Corbett Selva Resort.
• Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay in rooms overnight.
• The resort reserves the right to deny check-in to guests who do not produce valid identification.

🤝 6. Guest Conduct & House Rules

To ensure a peaceful experience for all guests at our Corbett resort, the following rules apply:

• Guests must maintain decorum and respect fellow guests, staff, and the natural surroundings.
• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Loud music, parties, or disturbing behaviour is strictly prohibited.
• Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. Smoking inside rooms or common areas is strictly prohibited.
• Consumption of outside alcohol is not permitted on resort premises. In-house bar services are available.
• Pets are not allowed inside rooms or dining areas. Please enquire about our pet-friendly outdoor areas.
• Guests are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times, especially near the pool and natural areas.
• The use of drones within resort premises and near Jim Corbett National Park is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the resort and relevant authorities.
• The Corbett Selva Resort management reserves the right to request any guest causing disturbance to vacate the premises without refund.

🐯 7. Wildlife & Nature Policy

Situated near the iconic Jim Corbett National Park — home to the Royal Bengal Tiger — our Corbett resort operates with the highest respect for the natural environment. Guests must adhere to the following:

• Wildlife safaris within Jim Corbett are governed by the rules of Uttarakhand Forest Department and Corbett Tiger Reserve. Guests must follow all safari guidelines.
• Do not feed, disturb, or approach any wild animals, including those that may enter resort periphery.
• Littering within resort premises or in the Corbett buffer zone is strictly prohibited.
• Use of single-use plastics is discouraged as part of our green initiative at The Corbett Selva Resort.
• Flash photography near wildlife is strictly prohibited.
• Guests venturing outside resort boundaries, particularly towards forest areas, do so entirely at their own risk.

⚖️ 8. Liability & Disclaimer

The Corbett Selva Resort and DevStayZ shall not be liable for:

• Loss, theft, or damage to guests' personal belongings within the resort. We recommend using in-room safes for valuables.
• Any injury, illness, or accident occurring on resort premises, except where directly caused by resort negligence.
• Wildlife encounters outside or inside the resort premises — guests staying near Jim Corbett National Park acknowledge the inherent nature of the location.
• Disruption of services due to power outages, extreme weather, or natural events common to the Corbett region.
• Accuracy of third-party content, reviews, or listings referencing our Corbett resort.
• Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from use of our booking platform.

🏚️ 9. Property Damage Policy

• Guests are fully responsible for any damage caused to resort property, furnishings, or equipment during their stay at The Corbett Selva Resort.
• The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest's account or credit card on file.
• Deliberate damage or vandalism will result in immediate eviction and may be reported to local authorities.
• A security deposit may be collected at check-in and refunded upon satisfactory inspection at check-out.

🌪️ 10. Force Majeure

The Corbett Selva Resort shall not be held liable for failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters, floods, landslides (common in the Corbett / Uttarakhand region during monsoon)
• Government orders, forest department restrictions, or national park closures affecting Jim Corbett
• Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
• Civil unrest, strikes, or acts of terrorism
• Prolonged power outages or failure of critical infrastructure

In such events, The Corbett Selva Resort will make best efforts to offer alternative dates, credit notes, or partial refunds at its discretion.

©️ 11. Intellectual Property

• All content on the Corbett Selva Resort website and booking engine — including text, images, logos, and design — is the exclusive property of the resort and DevStayZ.
• Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.
• Guest-submitted reviews, photos, or feedback may be used by The Corbett Selva Resort for promotional purposes, with credit given where applicable.

🏛️ 12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your stay at our Jim Corbett resort or use of the DevStayZ booking platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Uttarakhand, India.

• Disputes should first be raised with the resort management for amicable resolution.
• If unresolved, disputes may be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India).
• The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) applies to all consumer disputes related to our Corbett resort services.
